VANCOUVER, 2010

So, my roommate and I are absolutely LOVING watching the Olympics. (Only when we are finished with each day's academic endeavors, of course :-D ) It has prompted us to make so many plans. First of which being that we need to start diversifying our exercise regimen. I mean, these announcers keep telling us that all the good athletes do cross-training. So now we just need a new sport. Luge is out. So is downhill skiing. (Did anybody see that last night? Barely half of those women even made it to the bottom of the hill!!!) And moguls are out...can you just imagine what that'd do to your knees? Ouch! No thank you!! And so the search for a new sport continues. In the meantime, the campus fitness center will do.

Another idea that came up this week: We would very much like to skip classes for the week and drive west-ward until we hit Vancouver, because the TV just isn't quite cutting it! Let me explain...have you seen the commercial where the guy is sitting 2 feet from the TV and has to smack it every few moments? It's an ad something about needing that new TV before the big game? Well, we should have gotten a new TV before the Olympics. It's just gut wrenching to be moments from the finish line in the race for a medal (sometimes I live vicariously through these competitions--it can be so stressful!) and have your TV go to fuzz. But it's really okay, because one good smack to the side, and the picture is back in time to see the results!

Alright, I've got to be going, but I love you all...I missed you at Christmas!  Hope all is well!

With love,
Hannah
