Update

Hi Everyone,

Just an update tonight to let you know what's going on here. Dad's knee continued to get a little better each day until Sunday. Monday it was worse so he called the doctor. He will have the meniscus (scoped) repaired next Thursday. He has an appointment with the doctor next Tuesday so he won't know any details until then. So, he's been doing a lot of reading and watching a lot of ballgames! (no problem there, ha) I also try to give him a few easy jobs around the house!!

We have temps in the 60's this week. The kind of days that are great in the sun and chilly in the shade. Sounds like we'll probably have our first frost tomorrow night. Dad's tomato plants in his hot house are doing alright. (not great) He also has lettuce planted in the hot house that is up.

It was nice talking to all of you on Thanksgiving. I was especially happy that Lydia talked to me. Actually, she was pretty chatty. We had a nice dinner on Thanksgiving. There were 6 of us and way too much food, as usual.

I am volunteering for 3 weeks for Assistance Services that does a hugh toy drive for the needy. The first 2 weeks the toys are brought to the drop off place and the last week they are picked up. There are so many needy Mexican families in this area. That reminds me, if you want to see a good movie, see The Blind Side. It is really good.

I've been having fun in my tennis leagues this fall. In one league I played (and won) 1 match before the season ended. In the other league I'm playing my 5th match on Monday. It's a super senior league (over 60) and rated 7.0. I'm a 3.0 and my partner is a 4.0 and VERY good. Our record is 4-1. Monday will be the last match of the season. After the new year a new season will start.

Hope you're all doing well.

Love you and miss you,
Mom (Grandma)
